I swore to myself and so may others that I'd never have a blog. But, then again, I also swore to myself I'd never live anywhere but the heart of Texas. I suppose I've just learned to stomach a world where Twitter and life in Dallas are both realities.
Over the past few weeks, I have come to realize that so many of my friends have an interest in social entrepreneurship and that we can learn a great deal from each other. Therefore, I fully expect this to be interactive. Any ideas, learnings, words of advice, suggestions or contacts who may have similar passions or live in eastern Africa would be greatly appreciated.
As many of you know, I am in the process of leaving McKinsey & Company and starting a new venture with Courtney Rountree. She's probably the smartest person I know, so hopefully I can ride her coat tails to success. In a week or so, I will be posting some details about our concept and overall plans for the summer, and I'd love to hear your feedback.
I have not yet figured out if visitors and guests can post replies or make their own posts, but I'm quickly learning the functionality of the blog world and will keep you posted on the best way to communicate back to me. I'm beyond excited to get started and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your friendship.
